After twenty days as an active listing and twenty-seven showings, I was able to sell this amazing home in Victoria Park, Fort Lauderdale for the full asking price of $2,200,000.

Yes, I did a full color handout brochure and had really excellent professional video and photography done. I did a ton of online marketing and the myriad of other things necessary to gain visibility for the listing. I walked the prospective buyers and Realtors through the house at every showing and explained all the features of this remarkable home and was able to answer any question asked, even to the smallest detail.

But I can’t take all the credit. The owners kept the interior and exterior of the home in such immaculate condition throughout the time it was listed, that buyers asked if there was anyone living in the house. Realtors kept asking if the house was staged but it wasn't, the buyers were living there. And the owners were always willing to accommodate a showing no matter what time I asked for. Even with short notice they’d do a quick spruce up of the house and go for lunch, a ride, visit friends or a walk on Las Olas Boulevard until the day’s showings were done.

Today, at the walk-through, the house was equally as immaculate even after having moved all their furniture. Everywhere a picture had been removed, the hole was patched and painted. They made sure all of the remote controls for fans, garage and pool lighting were labelled. There were little sticky notes placed on the walls so the buyers would know what switch turned on what light and all the house keys were labeled as well. The owners even had the gardener come early in the morning to cut the grass, trim the bushes and remove the debris. So, they displayed the same pride of ownership on the last day they owned the home as they did when they lived there.

I think it's worth noting that listing a house and getting it sold is a team effort between the Realtor and the owners that results in a successful sale. In this instance the owners were a great pleasure to work with and certainly helped me throughout the entire process. Don’t mind saying “I couldn’t have done it without them.”
